PRESIDENTS MESSAGE Our March meeting was very successful and I think our friends at the local chapter of USGBC put together another successful Energy Symposium. I noted a lot of programs this year of interest to engineers and the food was excellent. ASHRAE president Gordon Holness had an inspiring talk and showed ASHRAE’s leadership in energy efficiency such as by providing code enforceable documents and many resources for designers. Go to our website to view Gordon’s power point slides from his presentation. To better serve our membership we have two meetings scheduled in April. The evening meeting in Bloomington with the Bloomington chapter of USGBC will focus on Geothermal Energy. The lunch meeting at IUPUI in downtown Indianapolis will focus on understanding the code requirements and design issues with pressure relief valves. Both meetings should be very informative so I don’t think you will want to miss either one! Chapter Technology Transfer Chairmanship Opening:We have an opening to Chair the Chapter Technology Transfer Committee (CTTC). Please call Kevin Schulte or Ted Kussow if you would like more information on this opportunity. Next ASHRAE Board Meeting:Meetings of the CIC ASHRAE Board are held monthly and all ASHRAE members are welcome to attend.
