PRESIDENTS MESSAGE"If you were able to make the November meeting downtown at the Westin, you were treated to a wonderful speaker in Julian deBullet. He did a very nice job of explaining Variable Primary Flow through a chiller and the pitfalls involved including "Low Delta T Syndrome." We had a large group for the meeting as many hospital engineers joined us for the afternoon. The ISHE conference was also interesting, providing a good place to mingle with fellow engineers and suppliers. Special thanks go to Frank St. John for setting it up and also to ISHE for allowing us to continue this annual tradition! In December, we continue another tradition with our joint SMACNA meeting. Their training facility is complete now, so there should be a lot of interesting sample installations for us to see. I would like to remind you that we have reinstated the "Featured Consultant" aspect of our meetings. Any consultant that wants to highlight their firm in this arena is welcome to let us know and we'll give you ten minutes or so to tell us what kind of interesting projects you are doing, or how you solved a complex problem, or anything else you want to talk about. Slots are open in January, February, March, and April. Keep in mind that our April meeting includes Jeff Kaden from IU! First come, first served! Also, we are very excited to announce that on March 14, 2006 we will be honored to present Lee Burgett, the current ASHRAE President who will be our main speaker for the day. This is a rare opportunity to hear from someone who has a unique perspective concerning what is happening in ASHRAE and in the industry in general. So put this lunch meeting on your calendar now!
